Mayors of Peace Education Webinar
Teens4Disarmament had the absolute privilege to serve as a panelist for the “Mayors for Peace’s” 2025 Peace Education Webinar! Mayors for Peace is a global network of cities and local governments committed to promoting peace, particularly by advocating for nuclear disarmament. Dedicated to sharing the heartfelt wishes of the hibakusha, encapsulated in their message: “No one else should suffer as we have,” Mayors for Peace commit to convey the inhumanity of nuclear weapons and advocate for their abolition. @mayorsforpeacefremantle
Mayors for Peace invited Teens4Disarmament to participate in their Peace Webinar to encourage and promote youth-led peace initiatives regarding nuclear weapon education and disarmament. There, we met so many inspiring leaders and advocates and greatly learned ways to promote nuclear education and foster meaningful change from their personal experiences.
We hope to be the organization that fosters critical thinking, independent knowledge, and personal growth in students through research and educational activities. Through these pedagogical approaches, we hope to encourage awareness, responsibility, and empathy from future generations that will contribute to meaningful change for nuclear disarmament in our local and global community. Nuclear weapon Education is extremely important now more than ever, and we all desire and vowed to promote nuclear education among a greater number of students and people.
